About Me

Hi, I am Ankush Pratap. I am a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the New York Institute of Technology, advised by Prof. Houwei Cao and Prof. Yong Liu at New York University.

My research lies at the intersection of multimodal machine learning, human-centered AI, and affective computing. I am interested in designing learning algorithms that enable AI systems to integrate information across multiple modalities, reason effectively, and generalize to complex real-world scenarios.

My current work explores Multimodal large language models (MLLMs), Multimodal Representation Learning and Reasoning, Curriculum Learning, and Emotion Understanding, with the long-term goal of building trustworthy and human-aligned intelligent systems.
